Recipes for success

This site is different than most sites that teach cardiac surgery. Most want to show you the most complex cases, to differentiate (ie show off) their abilities. Others are so basic as to be pedantic. This aims to be more useful… we cover the basics, but also cover the complexities… How do you do a 25 minute AVR? Do you need reinforcement on a Bentall? What kind of cardioplegia should you use? Whats an efficient way to do a total arch? And if you are a noob, you can start with the basics and brush up on whats needed. [Although I am always surprised (ahem) at senior surgeons who can’t bicavally cannulate, or won’t do Bentalls, or dissections, or ECMO cannulation… (but I digress)]

In that way, I see myself as a chef eaching you how to cook magnificent dishes from the best recipes… I have taken the grunt work out of the learning.

Apologies on the old videos, most are new. Some are useful even though they are old and in SD.

Oh and by the way, can you give me some tips and tricks that will get me out of some dark places? You bet.

I anticipate daily updates, so check back often, and let me know what you would like to see. (You can always post it anonymously.)
